Moore County Warrant RecordsMoore County Warrant Records

Start with the city court named on your citation; its clerk can tell you whether a capias or failure-to-appear entry sits on the file and what the judge wants next. Moore County keeps municipal records city by city, spread across Dumas, Cactus, Fritch, and Sunray, and each one publishes a different set of online tools. The District Clerk does not hold every city case. The sheriff may serve local process. No citywide public warrant list exists here. Keep the citation number and date close when you call, and ask the court directly what process is on file.

How Moore County Municipal Court Warrants Work

Miss a court date in a Moore County city case and the municipal judge can issue process. Texas lower courts often write capias or capias pro fine rather than "bench warrant." A capias pro fine chases fines after judgment. Chapter 45A adds safeguards there. Local police or another authorized officer may serve city process. Recall and case status stay with the issuing court. The sheriff's public page does not promise that every city warrant appears in a county list.

Dumas Municipal Court Uses Separate Routes

Dumas handles city citation business at 124 E. 7th Street. The court answers at 806-935-3158. The city links GovRec and TrafficPayment, accepts in-person payment, and explains not-guilty or no-contest pleas by phone or in person. Those vendor screens carry their own quirks. For a police record, Dumas Police Services wants a written public-information request with your name, address, phone, and a clear description. That route is separate from paying a ticket. Paying does not always lift a capias. When a warrant might already be active, ask whether the Moore County court will accept payment first.

Municipal Warrant Courts Across Moore County

Moore County municipal courts hear city ordinance matters plus many traffic and Class C cases. Each court keeps its own citation, payment, and capias records. The sheriff is a separate route. His office posts no combined municipal warrant list.

Use the court printed on the citation. A place name alone may not separate a city case from a Moore County justice-court matter.

Cactus Municipal Warrant Fields

The nCourt screen the city links asks you to choose a citation/ticket number or case/cause number and then type it in. It also warns that full payment within 30 days adds a $25 time-payment fee. That fee says nothing about recall. Neither does the search box. The city-linked payment form helps find an eligible ticket. Only the clerk confirms capias status. Call Cactus Municipal Court at 806-966-5458 about payment plans, partial payments, and any active process in Moore County.

Moore County Municipal Warrant Checks

Begin any Moore County warrant check with the municipal clerk for the city on the ticket. Ask what the file truly is: a citation, an unpaid judgment, an FTA, or a capias. Payment portals skip warrant fields. The Cactus portal shows the pattern. It wants a Citation/Ticket Number or a Case/Cause Number. The city warns a ticket may take five days to appear and that partial payment requires court contact. It is a payment lookup. It is not an active-warrant search. If the court is unclear, the city police page or City Hall can route a caller to the right office in Moore County.

Fritch Municipal Warrant Portal Was Not Located

Fritch publishes a municipal-court page with the court at 104 N. Robey Ave., a P.O. Box 758 mailing address, judge information, and weekday hours. No warrant list, citation search, or payment field appears. Use the city's current contact page. Ask to be transferred to the court. The court page lists 806-857-3144. The staff page gives 806-857-3143 for the court or city. Verify the Moore County number before mailing papers or driving over.

Ask the clerk whether a record is ordinary pending business, FTA status, capias pro fine, or another court process. Moore County clerks can answer that in one call.

Moore County Municipal Warrants: What They Show

A city warrant record may tie the citation to a court cause number, offense, issue date, judge, service return, bond, payment, or recall order. Moore County keeps no single municipal roster or shared field list. Fields vary by court. Ask the clerk which fields your file holds.

Citation / causeIdentifies the city ticket or court case.
Process typeWarrant, capias, capias pro fine, or another entry.
Court and dateIssuing court, setting, and issue date if public.
Service returnOfficer's return or other execution entry.
Payment / recallTransaction and court order are separate facts.

A pending case is not itself proof of a warrant. Confirm the process entry and its current status with the Moore County court that issued it.

Sunray City Warrant Court Needs Local Routing

Sunray City Hall lists 415 Main Street and phone 806-948-4111, but the city site posts no municipal-court or public warrant page. An ordinance ticket may need City Hall routing. A justice-court citation may belong to JP2 instead. JP2 also sits in Sunray. The Texas Courts Court Reminder Program supports eligible justice and municipal matters. Nothing says a Sunray court joins it. Ask the issuing court whether reminders or another appearance tool fits your Moore County case.

Moore County Municipal Cases Are Not Warrant Counts

The Office of Court Administration tracks criminal municipal case activity for the four Moore County cities, including cases opened, disposed, inactive, or pending. Those numbers do not count warrants. A case can sit open with no process issued. A warrant can be tracked separately. Keep city records apart from the sheriff's execution route. The sheriff's public page carries no city-by-city active list, and no city here posts a public roster.

Clearing a Moore County Municipal Court Warrant

Call the Moore County city court before you pay a vendor or drive over. Ask what the file needs. That could be a new setting, a plea, payment, a hardship hearing, a recall, or an attorney filing. Chapter 45A builds safeguards into lower-court capias pro fine cases, though the judge has to apply them to the actual file.

A paid citation and a recalled warrant are not always the same record event. Ask the court to confirm both and provide a receipt or written order.

Moore County posts no shared municipal warrant-window schedule. Check the address, phone, hours, and custody risk with each court before you go.

Moore County Municipal Warrant Service Routes

Municipal courts issue their own city process. Local police may serve it. The Moore County sheriff may assist or hold other warrants, so treat the offices as separate rather than one searchable system. Start a city ticket with the municipal clerk. Route a felony case to the District Court and District Clerk. The state court reminder program explains ways courts can support appearances, but it cannot answer for the city court on an active case or warrant. Ask which office holds the record and which officer received the process.
